I was looking through Lissa's html tutorials and i noticed that the only graphics editing software she recommended was Jasc Paint Shop Pro and Adobe Photoshop. Both of those are commercial closed source programs.
I wanted to bring to the board users attention an open source (free) alternative. It's called GIMP (GNU image manipulation program) and was originally programmed as a Linux alternative to Photoshop, etc. Now there is a windows version (it also appears they have a MacOS version, but i've never used it) of it. I've never used Photoshop myself, but many people say GIMP is just as or nearly as good as Photoshop. Anyway, give it a try!

And no, I don't work for GIMP. They are an open source non-profit group.
