lol

You cant. Thats the coolest thing about flash because you dont have to add the javascript in it so people cant steal your immages or scripting. Ths thing you can do is E-Mail the person who made the site and see if they can tell you how to do somthing you dont know what to do or recomend a toturail. Flashers are usualy parinoid about handing out their work on the web. Especially when its to some one they dont even know. Because beople have had things stolen off their sites. So you cant get the .Swf file from theirs site. Sorry...

Any way that are you going to do with a .Swf file? watch it over and over again like you can do on the site? You want the . Fla file. The one that isnt on the site. The .Fla file is the main code file.

And try E-Mailing the guy you'll be suprised people some times are nice if you do E-Mail instead of hacking them. lol

Actually, when you open a website that has flash, the swf files get downloaded onto your puter, in the temporary internet files directory, just search your C-drive, you'll probably find them.
But Dash488 is right, you won't learn much from them, a lot of people protect their swf file, so you can't even open them in Flash, but even if you can, it does not look like the original Flash file, all the actionscripting has vanished etc.
www.actionscript.org is one of the websites that provide very good tutorials for more advanced Flash applications, they give out the Flash files for free etc., if you are getting beyond the basics of Flash, go there.
Good luck!

one way you could do is make a link to the flash file then just right click on the link and click save target as then it would download it to your computer.

uhm when you right click on a flash file you get a flash menu, I don't think you can save it like that.

No you cant save it from the right click menu. You can only Zoom and that kind of stuff. (Play, Loop, About)
But on some Flash movies you can acutaly lock thoes functions so that you can only go to "about"
Its in the actionsctip. I forget what it is... If any one knows just post the link or the code it self. I thnk i saw it on
http://www.Kirupa.com/

Ne way You Can NOT download the .fla or .swf flash file off a page UNLESS the Admin puts a download link for you to see.
Sorry folks but its just better that way...

Disabling the menu can be done in Flash, in the publish menu, if you publish in HTML and as a .swf file, in the HTML menu, you can choose to display menu, if you leave that box empty, there's no menu.

no what i mean is make a link like this <a href="http:// where ever the movie is located">blah blah</a> then right click on that link and save target as..

but i think even that is not possible.. you still get the zoom..etc menu.

Edit: Sarah, please alter your signature, and read the rules first.

guys-
SWF is the exported flash format. all the actual actionscript and images are editable only in the .fla.

btw, there is a SWF ripper

edit: please don't suggest what I just took out, it's illegal.
b.t.w., what you're saying here has already been said, about the actionscripting being lost etc.
