I hate hatelistings. I mean, the ones that bash other people such as celebrities or TV shows. Honestly, how would you feel if you were a celebrity and people made a site all about how they hate you?
Its very mean and annoying and sad. grrr...

i agree, why spend all that time on something you don't like? hehehe

I see this bumper sticker and to me, it's not right:

Say no to no hate

The word hate it in a circle crossed out so the first time I read it I thought they were saying "Say no to no hate"

They should have either just left the circle out or left the "say no to"

What do they care? Sometimes you need to express it. ;)

I just don't like the webmasters section. It's kinda mean.

Huh?!? I'm confused. They crosed out the hate so it says "say no to no" ???? Sorry, I'm brain-dead at the moment.

The hatelistings don't bother me. Although I have no intention of joining any or starting any I think the whole thing is done more as fun. Some I agree with like I hate racisim, war, Lizzie Maquire. lol. Although maybe they shouldn't have one on webmasters, but to each their own.

I dont really object to them...i mean you can have fanlistings so why not hatelistings...its not like britney spears or Kazza are ever gonna know about it
What i dont understand is why anyone would want to make one, if you hate something you dont put your spare time into it, right? I certainly wouldnt make or join any...but whatever floats yer boat.

I suppose so , but its still not good for the soul. :stickout: Yeah I think people who make hatelistings for celebs and stuff are either really really bored and really really jealous or just ... mean. I don't have a problem with hatelistings for spiders and stuff ... thats different.

Maybe they just want to spread it to the whole world they hate what they hate?

Why spend so much time on something you like? That's what fanlistings are, after all. No one says, "Oh, what idiot spends all their time making a site about something they like?" And, believe me, I don't think Britney Spears or whoever is going to ever get online, see the hatelisting for her, and cry herself to sleep over it. :P

One would assume youd enjoy spending time on something you like...its like...i dont like spears so i wouldnt want to spend any time searching for pics of her to make a layout with or dealing with emails 'omg Why u hate Britneee?' or...just updating it, i just wouldnt enjoy it like i would a fanlisting :P

and the word hate was in a big red circle and crossed out...They are trying to say Say NO to Hate but the way I read it is always Say no to no hate..lol

I don't think it matters whether you have a fanlisting or a hatelisting. Both of them share the same purpose: to bring people with similar interests together. I don't have any objections to that.

I wouldn't mind starting a hatelisting for hate. Think thefanlistings.org would approve?

well people don't know someone but they still idolize them, it's the same thing, how do they know that person is SO perfect....i think they would be sorely disappointed if they met their "idol".
