Hey everyone. I read the MS Paint thread just a lil bit ago, and it mentioned the gimp, so I went to try to download it. Well the site doesn't give much detail on downloading instructions, and I'm reealllyyy confused. I downloaded something, "gtk+-2.2.4-20040124-setup", where it gives me a bunch of stuff, but never the real program. What else do I need to download and then what do I need to do just to get the program running? :idea:

Okay - I used the link, and that's where I was before - and I downloaded FTP for ftp.arnes.si. But when I download it, I unzip all the stuff but I can't get the program still. What am I doing wrong?

you need to download the second thing, not the first. I downloaded it and it's working fine but at first I was trying to download the first thing they offer but I think that's just an addon.

Download the one that says "The Gimp for windows"

is it under http or ftp?

Wow, i'm really sorry i'm so confused with this. I'll try to detail what I did, and clarify what you said to do...

This is what I did:
I went to the link on the other thread, http://www2.arnes.si/~sopjsimo/gimp/stable.html
and then I went under the GTK+ 2 for Windows (version 2.2.4-20040124) part
and I clicked "download" under FTP next too ftp.arnes.si.
It downloaded, and I unzipped all the files, but I can't seem to find where to open the ACTUAL program. Is this all I have to download?

You're downloading the wrong one, go underneath that one, the one that says

"The Gimp for Windows (version 2.0.0) "
