Hey could anybody tell me how i can make videos like is there a way you can hook VCRS and DVDS up to the computer and make them.. i don't want a video of myself like with a webcam i want a video of a show from T.V could somebody PLEASE help me ?

I believe you'll need some additional hardware- I've seen video capture devices that connect to the computer and provide the necessary connections. try poking around at amazon.com or bestbuy.com

also, what it sounds like what you want to do could be illegal- you most likely would be not permitted to distribute (post on the web) videos or images of television programs without getting the necessary permission.

but probably the easiest way to use a DVD is to use a DVD-ROM drive if you have one or if you want to get one :P

i just want to make screen caps with them .. but i dont think its illegal cuz TONS of sites have them

I think you should go with Dude's advice. True, it may not be illegal, but do you really want to take that chance? And besides, the sites that you have seen them used on are very advanced and the webmasters probably spend all their their time monitering them. The rest of us, however, have lives that need to be lived. Sorry. Good Luck!
