View Full Version : How do I...(get a picture I made on my website)
How do I get a picture I made on my website. I don't know how to get a HTML code for it. I do know how to put it on my website after I have the HTML code though. I have been told I can go to certain websites that will give me a HTML code for it.
upload the image to your online website area.
on your webpage coding, try this...
<img src="imagename.gif">
I don't know how to upload. That's what I'm asking.
MaGiCSuN 03-20-2004, 08:52 PM what host do you use?

My brothers friend. no advertising
MaGiCSuN 03-20-2004, 09:01 PM you will need an ftp program to upload then. Do you have one?
Love,
Mirna
MaGiCSuN 03-20-2004, 09:06 PM then just upload the image like you upload your .html files
that's all :)
love,
Mirna
What do I put in the part where I upload it. I made this on paint for a test, but I don't know what to type to get it uploaded.
MaGiCSuN 03-20-2004, 09:40 PM I don't understand your question really.
You save the image, and upload it like you upload any other file.
can you explain a bit more?
love,
Mirna
How do I upload it. I'll try and figure it out.
i am only guessing that you are using your FTP program to upload your webpages already.
so on your computer, you have some webpage files and your images files.
open your FTP program (enter your settings and so forth) and connect to your online area.
transfer your webpage (html) files to your online area.
transfer your image files to your online area.
same way.
perhaps there is some confusion between your question and the answers posted? maybe ask your brother or his friend to explain and show you by example in person how to do it?
ham_let 03-21-2004, 01:05 AM this is probably the dumbest answer to your question but i might as well try. do you know what the filename of the picture is? (if you don't know what to put when you upload it) i'm guessing you put in the filename... lol. i'm not that great at answering this type of question lol.

I'll ask.
When I open up my FTP program I click on a link that says "Upload" and on that page it says this.

I don't know what to type in that box.
Thanks,

you are probably supposed to type in the name of the image file...
example...
CarImage.gif
as for the other settings, choose AUTO.
sonya 03-21-2004, 03:39 AM it can be .gif, .jpg, .bmp, or maybe some other ones like .art but that's less likely. when you open your file, look and see if the filename is IMAGE.jpg or IMAGE.bmp or whatever.. make sure you type in .jpg if the image is .jpg and etc. hope that helps :)
Blackdragonhide 03-21-2004, 01:44 PM I reccomend you download ftpx (http://www.ftpx.com/download.html) (short for File Transfer Protocol Explorer).
Then all you need to do is connect to your webspace and drag and drop your files into the window.
Simple :)
no url in sig, read the rules !!
sugarbyte 03-22-2004, 04:36 AM upload!!! :D... then html code :P
