Okay let me just say that I will no longer recommend GeoCities to ANYONE! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! They do not let you do ANYTHING. It is deffinately NOT worth the money. For those of you who will be getting your own domain soon, I would probably recommend DreamHost. It is not the easiest in the world but it is definately worth it because they let you do so much. I am moving there as soon as I learn how to use FTP.

Ok...

1) I think that's advertising.

2) Shouldn't this be in the rant forum?

Just a little advice Ü

1) Are you admin? 2) Are you a moderator? Who cares if it's in the wrong forum or whatever?

I think that anyone looking to buy hosting should do their research. Otherwise they might wind up with something they really hate.

I would have never bought my domain or hosting from geocities, angelfire or lycos. When I first made my site it was on geocities, but when the time came for me to buy my own webspace and domain name, geocities wasn't even an option for me. :)

Well um, I'd use geocities only for free;)

Yeah, all those big shot free hosts think they're something special, when in reality they serve no purpose but to provide mediocre web designers a few megs of space. They think they can pull them in with their premium packages with "No forced advertising!" yeah. That's about all they do for you.
Grrr....they make me so mad...

It might not be advertising, because he/she was telling us something and they probably arn't the owners of dreamhost. I'll probably go with dreamhost anyway...

I hate GeoCities. My very first web site used to be there, and I hate it. Now I have Angelfire, and it is worse than GeoCities. I want to get my own .com but it's not really a reasonable option right now, so I'm stuck to these.
