This is my first post here, I just discovered this place and became interested in the chromeless windows, I never knew what that was called and I found myself on this page trying to figure it out:

http://www.lissaexplains.com/java9.shtml#chromeless

Well I uploaded all the files to my directory, placed the head part in the head of one of my pages and inserted the link which I thought was supposed to set it off, in the body of that page... when I use the 'open chromeless' link which I directed toward another page I have on another site, I get an 'error on page' prompt in the bar at the bottom of my page, on mousing over the link it reads the url of the page the link is on, except the '.html' at the end is followed by one of these... '.html#'.

I'm clueless about JavaScript but I have used a few and I'd love to get this one working for me. In fact, the very page I put the link on is the page I'd most like to have as chromeless, as it's a page with an easy short url that I use only as entry page for my other site, which has a really long url... but if you check it out you'll see that I was just trying to get it to work on a completely different site...

Does the new page have to be in the same directory as the files and other page?

I really did try and searched this site trying to make this work, and I've never done much with frames...

Do I need to code a page using frames for it to work as the chromeless page?

And finally...

Any ideas as to how I go about having my main '/index.html' page open up as a chromeless one?

Thank you, and I appologize for my long-windedness.
