I'm trying to open a file that I desperately need that ends in .js, but the only way my computer will let me is in an MS-DOS prompt, so I tried that, and it just opened for a split second and then closed itself. Is there any way that I can open up the .js file in something else so I can edit it?

Thanks to all that will offer help. :D

try opening it in wordpad or notepad

by the way, if you want it to show you what it says in the ms-dos prompt, then go to start/run--->type in "command"--->find the file and open it from there.

Haha, I didn't even think about opening it in Notepad, but it's open now. Thanks. :)
