Hey everybody :D My friend's doing a speech on genetic engineering and in preparation she'd like to get some results for this survey... could you answer these questions please? It'll only you take you a minute. Thanks!

1) Are you in favour of genetic engineering?

yes?
no?
not sure?

2) Would you make a designer baby?

yes?
no?
not sure?

3) Would you eat genetically modified food?

yes?
no?
not sure?

4) Do you think genetic engineering is playing 'GOD'?

yes?
no?
not sure?

5) Should people be cloned?

yes?
no?
in some cases?

6) Should known disease-causing viruses be cloned for research purposes?

yes?
no?
in some cases?

1) Are you in favour of genetic engineering?

depends for what. It's good in some cases but people don't know when to draw a line of when to stop and cause problems in the long run.

2) Would you make a designer baby?

never!

3) Would you eat genetically modified food?

yes, don't we already? ;)

4) Do you think genetic engineering is playing 'GOD'?

depends what you do with it..there is a very fine line.

5) Should people be cloned?

NO!

6) Should known disease-causing viruses be cloned for research purposes?

some cases....they already kinda do that when you put them in an environment and let them replicate..a virus duplicates itself.
We wouldn't have vaccines nowadays but it depends on the disease too, some are better left dead like the plague they found somewhere frozen a few years ago...let it die people!

no

3) Would you eat genetically modified food?

4) Do you think genetic engineering is playing 'GOD'?

1) Are you in favour of genetic engineering?

My view on it is if they can do things to animals, then they can do it on people. If they don't want to do it on people, they shouldn't do it on animals, either.

2) Would you make a designer baby?

I highly doubt so!

3) Would you eat genetically modified food?

No. Since I became a vegetarian, all my food has come from the health food aisle, which has only organic foods.

4) Do you think genetic engineering is playing 'GOD'?

Not really... I'm not a monotheist in the first place, so my entire view on this would be altered...

5) Should people be cloned?

Only if animals are cloned, too...

6) Should known disease-causing viruses be cloned for research purposes?

Sure, if it will help us to find a way to prevent them, and such.

I'd also like to point out that although I am vegetarian and have all these animal-rights things going, I AM NOT PART OF PETA. Sorry, I just have to make that clear...

1) Are you in favour of genetic engineering?

yes, though it depends

2) Would you make a designer baby?

no

3) Would you eat genetically modified food?

Aren't seedless grapes genetically modified? And beef cattle?

4) Do you think genetic engineering is playing 'GOD'?

depends what you're using it for.

5) Should people be cloned?

no. (Except for the historical figures I want to kill at times... )

6) Should known disease-causing viruses be cloned for research purposes?

yes.

Alright, I love taking surveys! :D

1) Are you in favour of genetic engineering?

Yes, that is, it can be very helpful.

2) Would you make a designer baby?

I might, just because I'd want my baby to be healthy (my family's had a
history with miscarriages).

3) Would you eat genetically modified food?

Sure, I thought we were already doing that... :confusion

4) Do you think genetic engineering is playing 'GOD'?

I really don't know.

5) Should people be cloned?

I personally think it'd be pretty neat.

6) Should known disease-causing viruses be cloned for research purposes?

Sure, just as long as they're careful.

So yeah, I suppose I'm one of those people in favour of genetic engineering. *shrug*

1) Are you in favour of genetic engineering?

yes

2) Would you make a designer baby?

No!

3) Would you eat genetically modified food?

yes?

4) Do you think genetic engineering is playing 'GOD'?

Well, i dont believe in God but im not sure how literal the question is, but in a sense yes i do...because its messing with the natural order of things...as much as disease sucks im sure it exists for a reason sort of thing.

5) Should people be cloned?

No no no

6) Should known disease-causing viruses be cloned for research purposes?

I dont see why not.
