OK I have several friends online, that I dont know in person and just on like yahoo games and stuff. Anyways, one of them decided to take my sisters webhost, whalersfan, and somehow find ALL of my info. He has my street address, where I live, my phone number, my name along with my sisters, even though I dont know how he found my name, but I dont even own the site my sister does. I need to know how he got the info, and where. He isnt anything special that could easily find this, but hes says its public info. Ive done searchs upon searchs and cant find anything. He may be a friend but right now I DO NOT trust him. I'd appreicate any help and fast.

You can find all that info in any whois lookup:

My stuff is registered under my business address for those reasons. Even that's not entirely accurate.

They are trying to make it a law that it's a felony to post incorrect information...

See yea thats what Neptune PM'ed me. I dont trust it because of safety reasons. Thats almost as bad as the phonebook here you have to pay if you dont want it listed, that seems weird. Shoudlnt it be if you want it posted then you have to pay? If someone does something bad and you ban them from even viewing your site, they could easily seek revenge. I think it said its like $10 to get your information unlisted....

I think it's really stupid that they just give out your infomation like that. I personally don't like the thought of just anyone knowing certain things about me :confusion
Of course, I don't have a domain, so no one can look me up or anything, but if I did, I'd feel like this :buckt:

yeah, I know that my parents pay extra to have our phone number be unlisted (we have Verizon, I don't know if it's different with other phone companies). it's probably that it's easier for them to list every number, and to make one in particular unlisted they have to do something special, so they charge for that. it's stupid that (I think) it's a monthly fee, though...

I believe it's godaddy that has the private registrations, for something like $12/year
