I saw this show on Food Network and it had Puerto Rican foods and stuff :( I was like sitting there watching and my jaw droped to the floor lol. It's been a long time since i've been to Puerto Rico and I'd do anything to go and have some bacalaitos, alcapurrias, and some sorullos :crying: Texas doesn't really have Stands that sell good fried puerto rican food or parrandas during christmas :crying: :crying:

Not to mention it's hard sleeping for me still without hearing the sounds of coquis at night :(

Do any of you guys have lost food favorites from someplace?

oh where to start!

pastries of all types that i can't find here, real baguettes, tarte flambee (http://www.cigogne.net/article56.html), bacon that's cubbed and not sliced..you wouldn't think that would be hard to find...i used to miss orangina (http://www.orangina.fr/) but i can find it here but really expensive but it's good for craving sakes.
I miss bretzel (http://www.saveurs.sympatico.ca/ency_11/pain/bretzel.htm) too.

I made myself hungry now for stuff i can't have :crying:

There's nothing I can think of in particular, but I reaaaally miss my mother's cooking.

When you're at school and are forced to eat cafeteria food every day of your life, anything will sound good. But I can't wait to go home just to have mom cook for me. ;)

Well...let's just say a lost rest restaurant, not a food really. You see, there is this Japanese Steakhouse this is in my town and I love their food. The problem is, my mother absolutely will not eat there! So I've only eaten there 3 times! :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

My grandmother sends us a care package two or three times a year from England. And some of the stuff, you can't get here. Some of it, you can, but the place is miles away! And I've never seen Galaxy 'round here... :crying:
