I'm doing a research paper on Richard III-trying to prove that, basically, he wasn't all that bad. My sources are mostly online-in fact, entirely online, if you don't count the play. And my computer refuses to print them.

Try emailing it to yourself and trying printing it off another computer if possible. And, if all else fails, get a better sledge hammer.

I tried doing that...the library printer killed itself.

and is it just me, or are printers also louder when it's like 3:00 in the morning and you're printing a paper or something that you so should have started way earlier and you don't want anyone to wake up and find you still up? :P

We just got a new printer because of the trouble with the old one. It's all quiet from 8:00 AM to about 8:30 PM, and it purposely makes noise at night.

I call it the curse of the printer. I have a firm theory that they break exactly when a major project is due the next day. And/or you are dead tired and don't have time to fight a half hour to get it unjammed...;)

sooo true ! the printer at school can't even handle 5 things from different computers  and always when you have 10 minutes to log in, plug in the memory stick, search the file, open it, press print and log out. so frustrating

The old one died EVERY time I had a major project to do...usually English papers.

Perhaps it doesn't speak English! Computers are in binary you know, so maybe printers are too...:stickout:

I was printing one time and it didn't print, it said cartridge was jammed and when my sister said to open it up, I saw nothing, she said check again, and this time I used my hand which I'm not suppose to just incase I just knocked something out of place. I found one of my kirby in there, wow, an eating machine...

Ita been 5 mins, so sorry for the double post. I just wanted to suggest reading this text if you have a moment. I read it in english class and was instantly reminded of it when I read this thread.

Go here: http://www.geocities.com/karenhath21/Plot.html

Its called The Plot Against People by Russell Baker, however this version is miising a bit from what I read in class.

I hate printers! I had a project due, and my printer was out of ink. I went the Staples, looked for my specific ink catridge, and it wasn't there! They guy said this other one would work, so I bought it, went home, it didn't work. I took it back, and they finally found the right one for me. I took it home, it didn't work. I got so impatiant, I was so annoyed with that store that I gave my mom $200 of my hard earned money and asked her to just buy a new printer. My mom brought it home, it worked! My old printer wasn't even broken, it worked fine, but it's so hard to set it up.

Printers that don't work are the most frustrating thing ever.. It's usually 2am, and you're jiggling cords, changing ink cartridges, unplugging then replugging cords, selecting your "default printer", then when your desperate you add a tiny bit of water to the ink (don't say you've never done it! Or at least thought of it!) ... ugh...

I hope this post doesn't offend the printer gods! I have another reasearch paper due in a week.

*about to look at that link*

Mine suffers from continued paper jams, for no reason.
