i have decided to start a coke vs. pepsi thread. it has probably been done before, but then again there are so many n00bs that i'm sure the outcome of it will be different :buckt:

personally, i'm all for coke. pepsi commercials are just too mean to coke :(

my school is evil, they used to sell soda but then they said it was too unhealthy and started to sell this uncarbonated juice stuff in a can. which has waaaay more grams of sugar :lol:

THEY DID THAT TO OUR SCHOOL TOO! I hate it... it is like... oh.. well.. coke is making people fat... and it is only one meal... it depends on what you eat at home... anyways... I like coke. hehe... it has been my favorite drink since I was like a baby... well... yeah... I hate pepsi >.<

back in the day, there was a "pepsi challenge" which let you taste test between the two hidden cans and choose which one tastes better. i liked goofing them up by saying... "you want me to tell you which one is pepsi or do you REALLY want me to tell you which one i like to taste (coke)".

They have a kind of Diet Coke with a lime twist. It's so good! I don't understand why it's not for regular Coke as well... :confusion

I'm not a big soda drinker (water mostly), but I had to go with other, even though my favorite is a tie between Sprite Remix and Mountain Dew's Code Red, because I'm quite sure that the company that makes Coca Cola also makes Sprite.

Oh, and this'll make all of you soda lovers day. Did you know that if you pour coke(or any soda I think) on a car, it'll take the paint job off? :D

one day my economics teacher was talking about how a lower price on something you don't normally buy could encourage you to buy it instead of something else, and he used the example of Pepsi versus Coke. he said that when he was younger, his mother always bought Coke, except when Pepsi was on sale, she would buy that. he said something about "Pepsi, which as you know tastes like liquid dirt..." lol :P I found that amusing for some reason :P

i lie coke a lot. but we drink pepsi when we are in the US because it tastes a bit strange to us. it doesn't have enough fizz as the canadian version. coke is still good.

coke tastes strange across the globe though. in thailand it taste like the coke has a hint of durian in it (eww....) still has the coke taste and has a nice amout of fizz in it. and in korea the fizz sort of fizzes in your throat and it feels like whipped cream and i end up drinking it... (but i guess the fizz is weird to me because i'm not used to it) strange, but its good i guess. we go to the philippines a lot to visit relatives and the coke there is ok. i have no beef with any other cokes, and nothing good to say about any others... but the best soft drink is by far royal TRU orange, this orange soft drink that is of course from the philippines.

Coke in my opinion tastes much better. Pepsi makes me well, sick. I like coke but I prefer to drink it only once and a while. I don't know how to explain it but coke has that certain taste which is good only once and a while.

You're probably addicted to the caffeine. Caffeine is a drug you know. A "safe" drug, but a drug nonetheless. Try cutting back on the amount you have. You can also start buying caffeine-free coke, which is almost the same, only you don't feel the slight burning sensation in your mouth (so it goes down a bit smoother).

I like Pepsi because it has better marketting. That's probably not a good reason, but seeing how they both taste the same, I give more credit to the company that makes its product more known.

Yep. That they did. Maybe that explains why people are addicted to it? An you know...because of the caffiene, it helps asthma (somewhat). I know because I have it - and that's what the nurse at my school told me. I find it strange, but it works.

Coke may have come before Pepsi, but Pepsi is still better. so we could say that Coke made the products first, but Pepsi perfected them :P

It doesn't stay in your system that long. And, since your stomach is filled with hydrochloric acid, a little bit more acid won't hurt, will it?

sugar doesnt realyl make you fat totell the truth. it even help to keep good build up of muscle. it becaues carbonated drinks are probably packed full of those nasty carbs, which is what activates fats. oh yeah and pepsi is better.

Coke or pepsi.. now if this was a computer question I would say neither because if you spelt the soda in the keyboard the keys will stick! But in my own oppion I like pepsi and coke.. I'm drinking coke right now.

Definitely Pepsi, I don't drink it that often for the caffein it contains, but It's definitely sweeter and better tasting than coke.

I used to drink alot of both because it takes good, but then i stopped once my teacher told me that the caffeine is a sorta drug that could make you hyper and lose sleep. I stopped drinking both in 7th grade and I've stuck to caffeine free drinks like Sprite ever since.

Altho, there are some Cokes that are made caffeine free, so those i could drink.

(but basically, I've always though that coke n pepsi taste the same).

Just curious, but do you like chocolate? That's got caffeine too. Trust me, if caffeine was anything terribly harmful, we wouldnt let our babies be eating it lol.

I LOVE any kind of coke BUT just regular coke. I live for regular pepsi, and that's only plain so I bet you can guess how I feel about the flavored pepsi(even better than regular). So I figured we were voting on just plain coke & pepsi. So I voted for pepsi.

i like pepsi its WAY WAY WAY sweeter and the bottle r bigger so i can buy more @ the same time. coke has that weird feeling after u drink it a lot like ur mouth is coated in bad breath stuff that u have int he morning. if u ever do drink coke, buy it in mexico or some places along the border sell bottle coke imported from mexico and its GOOOOOD! its really sweet! :cloud: its like coke heaven. if they ask u 4 soda they just say coka.
