Mine takes about 30 seconds!! Yes, 30 seconds. I was amazed when i first turned it on.

Ha, 30 seconds for me too. Once I hit the button on the tower I started counting and that's how long until my background popped up.

I think mine's less than a minute or around there. The only time it takes longer is if it crashes and has to go through scan disk :P Even that doesn't take very long.

Well it doesn't take my computer very long to actually boot up at all. I'd say 30 seconds at the most. Unfortunately, once it has booted up all my messengers and the like try to start up. This causes very low memory as half of the before mentioned programs crash. While my programs are crashing, McAffee decides this would be the best time to prompt me and see if every freakin' program on my computer can access the internet or not. By the time all this has finished it has been at least a couple minutes, if not more. :P

i'm guessing mine takes like 30-45 seconds. i usually turn it on in the morning and then go off to do whatever, and by the time i get back a few minutes later, it's on and windows is running :D

I would say, to the most, at least 3 minutes, but I usually keep it on for a few weeks

between 3 to 5 minutes, for the laptop. It has McAffee on it, no need to say more :P

yah mcafee slows up the pc, but its worth having it :P

not really, after a few months you have to 'buy updates'
for the money we paid (for laptop and several programs with it) i would expect a full program. But that's me :)

after a year i have to pay for updates, but creators of this programme need to get their money somehow. and it really is worth having because of virus's and worms as such.

Mines 30 seconds to 1 minute but after it starts you can't start some of the programs (windows media player, Peoplepc internet thing, and mabey some others) until the scanner responds/warms up not sure which so that gets on my nevers.

Mine takes about 30 seconds or so. Much faster than my older computer. :P

Mine takes a while. I usually turn it on, type in my password and then go eat a snack :P When I come back, it's usually ready for me to use.

Urgh, our desktop takes ages! We don't treat it very well though... we leave it on for weeks, we've kicked it a few times and we've got millions of huge pointless programs lurking somewhere there. It's depressing, I usually have to find some way to amuse myself because it can take up to 10 minutes from the time I've pressed the button until it's ready to use. Baaaah.

after i tweaked my asus bios and windows xp it takes about 20 seconds or less....

I admit, I don't really turn off my computer. My computer doesn't like being shut off. It give this weird loud humming sound. LOL! So I pretty much never turn off the computer. I'm guess 30 seconds though. :nerd:

Mine takes virtually no time at all, no more than 15 seconds I'm assuming.

My computer at my grandparents house takes like 2 mins and the computer at my mom's house takes like 1.5.
