It's a kind of milk that Hood manufactures. I don't know how they do it, but they manage to give 1% milk the taste of whole milk. We usually buy Oakhurst but I never realised how tasteless that stuff is until I tried Simply Smart. Man, that stuff is sooooo good!!! :9

Sorry, I just felt I had to share this. :stickout:

Heh, after drinking skim milk my entire life, whole milk tastes like cream and 1% and 2% both kind of taste a little off. I love that hood milk that comes in the thick white gallon container, it's so cool looking. :D Sorry, a little off topic..

How do they do that? :confusion

I jumped from whole milk to skim, and although I had been drinking whole for, like, 15 years, I think it's gross now. :P

when I was a kid, we used to get milk straight from a farmer, it used to be still warm from the cow when I drank it. Loved the full fat milk. Still do, actually.

I'd rather not have anything other than 1%. We were getting whole milk about six years ago (for whatever reason) and I was afraid to try it for a while. When I did start having it only seemed like thicker milk. Which is odd, because milk is already very thick at 1%.

i always drink 2% milk. somehow, 1% seems too.. watery. and everything above 2%.. ehh, i can't imagine drinking anything more than 2% fat  my mom is gradually trying to change me to soymilk because i often get stomach aches, and she thinks its the milk i drink in large quantities [i live off of cereal] that is making my stomach hurt. so, its like.. using soymilk in my oatmeal without me noticing, trying to make hot chocolate with soymilk [but it tatsed weird so i poured it out :D].. i do not like soymilk. it tastes like really really watery milk with a hint of vanila. bleh :(

They make soy milk in different flavors, so she probably buys the vanilla one. :P You can get it without the flavoring.

I'm a christian but I live by a kosher diet, for the most part (not eating pork, etc). I do it for health reasons (and religious reasons). My doctor said I'm really healthy :D

I drink 2% milk :P

I've been drinking one percent or skim for a while, and so two percent tastes like cooking oil.

I've never tried soymilk; I've heard from some people that it's really good, and I heard from other people that it's...not. I think I'm going to stick with this Hood stuff from now on though. We used to get whole milk but then my brother started gaining weight really quickly, and had to switch to 2% (which was the Oakhurst stuff).

Oh, I just read the nutrition facts label today and it contains more nutrients than regular milk. :buckt:

I hate milk. I developed a lactose intolerance like 12ish? I can have some milk, but once I reach a certain level, I get stomach aches and such. Like, I can eat a bowl of cereal, but that's about it. When I do have to eat the vile stuff, it's soy milk.

I used to drink whole milk growing up but when i turned 18 i went to 2%, took some time get used to it. I never drink milk straight but chocolate milk so even skim doesn't bother me that much.

i don't really like milk in general. i just don't like cereal by itself, so that's pretty my the extent of my milk-drinking (does it count as eating if its with cereal? :D) i don't think i am lactose intolerant because i can eat yogurt and etc. without any problems, but i didn't drink milk for a while and my stomach stopped hurting! hrm.. you know, all the pain started when i went to knotts berry farm and ate chicken  it had probaby been friends with a cow that had mad cow disease, yessir!

Hey its great to know someone in the same boat!!! Do you ever go to fast food resturantes? I tend to not go to them as they are unhealthy. And your right to, kosher isnt just about religious reasons, but health to (until the time is Channuka when you can eat fried food hahah). Keep it up, its a great food lifestyle to lead :star:

Soy milk is so good lol. Some foods people hate i think it's all in your head sometimes, it's the same with me by eating peanut butter I can eat it, but if I do I feel all sick and queezy lol And i think it's just me since the sight of it wants to make me hurl lol

I can't have milk since i'm intolerant to the lactose in the milk. Seriously my body will rid of it as fast as i drink it. And milk is ick lol :P i dunno how you all drink that stuff lol
