people r stealing my stuff, by looking at my source on internet explorer. Anything that can prevent that? My friend used to have that for her site, but she forgot how to do it. What it did, was instead of showing the CSS, it said "bug off and be original" or something like that.

I know theres a way...there has to be

Try this:

-make your entire site a pop-up window so there won't be any of that file, edit, view and all that other stuff.

-add on a no-right click script.

That will prevent people from stealing your codes but it doesn't prevent them from stealing your images because they can take a screenshot of your site and cut out the images in their graphics program.

if i view the source from the main page and find out the link from the pop-up, type that into the adress bar and view the source then. Then i still can copy everything :)

People who know the basic 'things' to view the source are always able to find it.

you can add no-right click, that will stop some beginners (no offense). You can also put a huge text made of ASCII code (search on google.com for ASCII generators) above all the source in your sourcecode. That will also keep some of your visitors away. They think it's all that. But more of us know that there is more beneat that.

On LEIA you can also find an "hide image toolbar" script. You add a littel code to your <img> codes (search on LEIA) and those option will dissapear. it is something but still not all.

I'm just saying that it is always a risk to put your stuff online. If you block everything that you can block people can always take alook into their TEMP files and find the images there.

You could try the "hide source script" maybe that will scare people away a bit. But unfortunally the advanced kind of people always know how to get the stuff they want to get.

Mirna

She's right in a way, it's impossible to completely prevent people from stealing your stuff. People who are really desperate can get anything they want. Life's not fair :( .

I can view the source of that site. When I went to view source, I just had to scroll down a bit to get to the source..
