that downloading music online is legal as long as you don't distribute or trade MP3s without permission from the song's copyright holder?

I think it's only legal if you pay for them.

downloading songs like where people sing is usually illegal unless the person who sings is offering them for download. Trading them is a big no no.

mp3 i think it's ok but not sure on that one.

I have heard that technically downloading songs is legal, that it's the actual sharing (distributing) of them that isn't. however, I believe the RIAA has sued people for merely downloading songs, so it's probably safest to stick to ways you know are legal- either buying the album or sticking with an established paid downloading service.

Hey, have you guys heard that new thing Pepsi's doing?

On the bottom of every cap they give you a code or something, and you can go to their site and download one free song.

before the SuperBowl I saw in the news that Pepsi had one teenage girl that got sued for downloading songs in their commercial advertising that promotion- so they have her saying that she's going to continue to download music for free, but legally now. :P

I like Pepsi :P

today in economics my teacher was talking about the law of demand, and used an example of when he was younger, his mom would always buy Coke, but if Pepsi was cheaper, she would buy that. he was talking about it and he said "as you know, Pepsi tastes like liquid dirt..." lol :P
