So, now I'm going to give you an idea how to make nice layouts with PSP.
Fisrt you should think about what you want on your layout. If you for example want a celebraty, then make a google search and look under your celebraty name with PDS cutout. These pds are the simplest way to get people clean on a layout.
Now think about a colout theme matching your celebraty or pic.
When you know something, then you are ready to start.
1. Open a new image sized 700x1000.
2. Floodfill it with one of the colours you choose for a colour theme.
3. Add the PDS via copy it and add as new selection. Place it at the right hand site....
4. Now we need to blend our pic to make it more interessting. You can look at my fancy blending tutorial.
( it's in this forum too )
5. If you are happy with it, then add a border around the layout with the preset shape tool. choose the square and creat as vector. Frame your layout with it, you can easily change the hights and all via dragging at the little squares...
6. Now think about a fancy naviagtion which you can map later with lissa's map tutorial on her site. It's in the "funstuff" section on her site, and then "section 6".
7. Try for example to choose a sweet brush and place it 3 tiles on your layout near your pds in different colours and sizes. Add the text with a pixel/bitmap font.
8. Now we add the textbox, a faded area.
Add a new raster layer. With the selection toll select the big square in the size you want your textbox to be. Floodfill it with a sligtly lighter colour then your background is. Change the opacity on the new raster layer to about 50.
Deselect and merge visible. You can add a border around that textbox if you like.
9. You should add your website name now at the topper left of the layout and add a little inner-bevel so that it looks more 3d like. You can add a copyrigth sig or the version number now as well with a pixely font.
That is normally all you need to make a layout with PSP wit either 7 or 8...
Blending is really useful and important for making layouts... so practise that first.
Additional things to be added.
If you have any questions, ask in the graphics section, I'd love to help.
