Hiya!
I just wanted to tell you of my thoughts coming up yesterday... I was wondering when I sat at PSP again and waisting my time, because I'm having this huge exam tomorrow and I should defenitly learn, why there is no raelly kind of lesson which is just about graphic design... my friends do have some kind of HTML-classes mixed up with geography... (really dull though) but if I would have that, I would DO something for school while browsing through the internet and not really waisting time... Do you have such classes that you can choose for just a normal class (not an after school group just for fun) with normal marks instaed of something else just about graphic design? Because I think that would be really really cool! :)
That would be my fave lesson anyway because I would work hard for school the first time in my live... lol :hehe:

My school offers Digital Imaging. They use Photoshop though. I want to take that class, but its too late now, because the new semester starts around next week. I have to wait til next year. :s

I think my school offers a Digital Graphics course, but I think you have to take Studio in Art first, which is a full year course- you only need 1 art/music credits to graduate, and I'm not particularly artistic, so I got that credit over with Design and Drawing (an introductory course on like technical drawing both by hand and with CAD) :P

no graphics classes for us... someone wanted to do a graphics couse with photoshop, but our school is too cheap to afford all those licenses...

For "technology" courses we have:
Presentations (Powerpoint... what a bore!)
Desktop Publishing (MS Publisher... boring than the first!)
Computer Applications (just your basic every day computer crap)
Web Page Design (I took it... and they taught HTML that was standard 5 years ago -_-)
Adv. Web Page Design (more or less a project based class... i'm in it right now, and my project is building a message board... however, nobody else is close to that level, they're still stuck on CSS :p (BTW, this course was made because of me.. and this teacher knows less than the regular web page design teacher... UG))
Computer Programming (Introductory course to JAVA.. used to be C++.. i'm taking it right now, but i should have skipped to AP)
AP Computer Science (just a FY course to prepare for AP exam.. i'm taking this course next year)
Advanced Computer Programming (more like an independant study for kids who want to continue programming after the AP course...)

i think that's it... Our teachers aren't the "best and brightest" though.. lol

I'm taking a graphic arts course next year. It's a vocational course so I think it will be longer than a regular class period. I don't really know much about it otherwise but I just can't wait! Weee! *claps hands together*

Yeah, I would like that too... but I'd more like it to be normal classes like english to polish up my marks... lol

Ah well, I had photo-'club' today. They say I should defenetly work on some pics from our theater-group... that'll be fun... I mean, cutting hot guys, well, that's my thing... :hehe:
I pursuated one of our computer-thingy teachers to make a graphic class, even if it's just for after school... We have got something called diff we have to choose in grate 9. That would be cool for a new class...
I took biological-chemistries, the grade under us got to choose german-art... *I'll cut their heads off* *pokes them all very hard*

Well well, hope I'll get something through to our headmisstress...

The only computer classes they offer at my school are word processing, advanced word processing, and some class for powerpoint.
Pretty bleh. I've taken the two word processing classes, not the least bit interesting and barely useful.

My schools collection of classes is bad. They don't offer digital imaging but they do offer Web Design, but it's really only telling you how to make a website.

I really want to learn how to use Dreamweaver MX, but of course my high school doesn't offer much beyond Microsoft Powerpoint. Maybe if the local university offers it as a summer class I could take it...

-Personal money management using Quicken Deluxe

When I first saw that I thought it said "Chicken Deluxe". :lolol:

There is one course at my school which is about printing. There is printing on the computer. Using graphic programs to design things to print. Using a computer printer. But they also teach how to use a printing press. Like anyone uses printing presses anymore. :lolol:
