Do they freak anyone else out? :lol: i hate seeing them on the active users list, its ok if they are just viewing a thread but things like this give me the creeps

Havnt seen that film, and by the sounds of it i dont want to....not sure why they scare me so, they are just bots or something...but even that scares me :lol:

I thought that was an new user! ;) I also see these "Inktomi Spider" as well. Has anybody else see "Inktomi Spider" and does anybody know what Inktomi is?

Inktomi is used by the other search engines such as Yahoo.

I went tubing in Missouri this past summer, and everyone tied their rafts together, and a snake came up on the side of my tube. Everyone was screaming, and throwing shoes at it, and I kept saying "It's just a snake". Later I found out it was a water moccasin. :lol:

I think yesterday, I looked on the active user thingy, and I saw one that said it was registering too. 0_0

Oh man, I just had a dream that there was this really cute cartoon-looking spider on me, and I was all "Aw, how cute" and then its fangs came out out nowhere and bit me and I started flipping out. Then my face got numb and swelled up and...it was all so real! And scary!

Don't like tiny little spiders, but the big ones don't bother me at all. I like all snakes though :p

Ooo, I was just in the Who's Online section and you're right...they're all over the place. That's why if you type in your name or quotes in a search the forums come up. Heh, I did a search for Melicbot just to see what would come up, and got three forums that I posted in, and a Melicbot.tk (It's not even a real site! :confusion )

I'm glad its not just me :lol: But its like...i can see them, in a dark smelly basement with the sounds of dripping water and cats fighting outside, about 50 little spiders, some running across the keyboard and pressing the keys between them, some on the monitor shouting down instructions and a HUGE one on top of the monitor whos the boss man making sure everyone is doing their jobs. And now im worried that one of the monitor workers has shouted down 'Starlet's sussed us, send the boys round to sort her out' and next time i see i spider i'll think they are coming to get me :(

The first time I saw Google Spiders and Inktomi Spiders on the active users list that is EXACTLY what popped into my head :lol:

I can just picture the robotic minority report spiders crawling really slowly around the forum, then someone posts and they scurry over and stick their fangs into them.

Spiders are very useful animals, and if you take a pic very close up, some are very beautiful. But, I prefer Sneaky, my pet snake :)

Spiders can be pretty but i prefer them squished.

I always think theyre out to get me :help: , if i ever see one and im the reason they die, i usually can't stay in that same area until i know for a fact there are no more around

If i see one....I yell for my knight in sninning armor if he isn't around i'll squish and drop the shoe or i'll vacuum the spider up. if it's on the wall, it can dry up and turn to dust for all i care...there is no way i'm getting it. I just can't do it. Physically i can't do it.

Yeah, the little spindly things that live in my basement (and decide to descend from the ceiling when I'm printing my homework) unnerve me. But I love the big wolf spiders that occasionally show up. :)

:lol: that is exactly what I feel! It is REALLY weird when I am in the forums late at night and no onw is here but the google spiders... then I feel like running away to hide in my covers :P

Haha, that reminds me of Block Island because that's where I saw that movie. In a cute little old theatre with a magician and a pianist who played before the movie started. Very classy, if you ever go to B.I. you ought to go to that theatre.

I can't stand spiders. This is from when I was a little girl, and I stared right at a Daddy Long Legs, it was only about 1/2 an inch from my face. And then there was the time one got on my hair, and I was running around yelling, "Get it off! Get it off!" until it finally fell off. If I see a spider, I'm too scared to even kill it.

Google Spiders I don't really ever notice, heh. They don't creep me out, except when I read those "Spiders that have visited your site" thing on my Cpanel, and it mentions about 17 different spiders. That creeps me out.

pretty spiders? eeeek. i have the BIGGEST fear of insects. uughh... i hate them! thats why when i go to college its OUT OF FLORIDA and OFF TO SOMEWHERE. :lol:

uh, kicker...there are insects and spiders and things everywhere...

yes, but here, they stay out all year. when i was in new york/jersey, there were like none. just fireflys (which i miss) :(

heh... the only real bugs that I am afraid of are June Bugs and Chochroaches (I can never spell that word) thoes two deffinetly freak me out... I do not know how the people on Fear Factor stand eating them
