i'm getting macromedia fireworks and flash soon, and i was wondering- what are they like compared to PSP7? (what i have now) Are they pretty good? (the reason that i wanna know is because i wanna be a graphic designer when i get older, so right now, i wanna create websites for people and make a profit) thanks! oh, and i heard that this macromedia stuff is the way to go if u wanna do this professionaly later on....is that true? i'm also getting dreamweaver and something else- what is dreamweaver like? thanks

a friend and i have already gotten into this. It is very good to learn and can be useful inn the long run. A list of the programs we use are as follows: Flash MX, Dreamweaver MX, Lightwave 7, Bryce 5, World Builder, Vue d'Esprit, Poser, Elefont, and Spiralizer. I like to have a variety of stuff to use so thats why i have so many programs. But if you want to design graphics i'd wait to get Flash and get Poser and either Bryce or Lightwave. Poser is for modeling people, its a very handy program. If you dont have a very big budget id get Bryce 5 and Dreamweaver. Lightwave is a little more expensive.

If you want to get professional in that categorie you should be commen with all programs... First I would try PSP8, because it is a huge change to PSP7 and it is much more professional... Then you should have a look for photoshop 7. It is highly recomended to know that one! But macromedia fireworks is really cool! I'm much looking forward to get it because it is very professional too! just think about getting photoshop as well!

Yep, I reccomend photoshop too. PSP is good, but it hasn't got enough professional tools.

I haven't got Macromedia Fireworks, but my friend highly reccomends it. =)

macromedia flash I have but it has nothing to do with PSP. It just lets you veiw videos. But then again I just got flash so I could be really wrong

I had PSP7, Photoshop7 and Adobe Photoshop CS2 and they're really cool programs. I used them a lot.

Just this week, a friend of mine gave me both Macromedia Dreamweaver and Fireworks Flash. They're really cool. I'm getting addicted to it!

I am a heavy user off all Macromedia products, Flash, Director, DreamWeaver and Fireworks and all of these products seamlessy integrate into one another. Example, if you make a fireworks file, you can merge right into dreamweaver. Simply edit a bit of the code and you got one good looking web site. Same with Flash and Director. I have (or have used) all of those other programs, PSP ect.. Ever since I formatted my pc a couple of months ago, the discs are just collecting dust.
