I just saw an ad on this site for a growth supplement called Heightmax. It's for people ages 12 to 25. Does anyone know anything about it? I could grow a few more inches...it would sure help me out behind the wheel. :P

I could grow a few more inches...it would sure help me out behind the wheel. :P Lissa 01-14-2004, 12:13 PM  They'll give growth hormones to almost anyone now regardless of your height. Kinda sad, isn't it? lefty 01-14-2004, 03:12 PM ohh I wouldn't trust that. :\ MaGiCSuN 01-14-2004, 05:54 PM i wouldn't even believe it  i'm 1 meter 50 so you're not alone ;) Rosey 01-14-2004, 06:33 PM same here, i'm not that tall either...it's good to be little :) i know what you mean about driving though, i'm glad i have a jeep..that was selling point, i could SEE the road. In cars like neons and taurus and stuff I can't see what I'm doing. I need a phone book! i would not trust growth hormones at all. Marianne 01-14-2004, 06:37 PM i wouldn't even believe it  i'm 1 meter 50 so you're not alone ;) WOW! I always assumed you were way taller than me. Don't you hate hate living in The Netherlands! Liz 01-14-2004, 07:16 PM i wouldn't even believe it  i'm 1 meter 50 so you're not alone ;) How would I figure that out in our height? America needs to turn metric, it would make things so much easier :P Arc Angel 01-14-2004, 07:22 PM I agree with bethy. It's odd, America is the only country in the world who uses the screwy number system we got. :P I'm only 4'10... and I wouldn't take/trust it. Liz 01-14-2004, 07:29 PM I agree with bethy. It's odd, America is the only country in the world who uses the screwy number system we got. :P I'm only 4'10... and I wouldn't take/trust it. Inches for the short? :P Marianne 01-14-2004, 07:30 PM I think 1.5 m is about 4.11" Liz 01-14-2004, 07:40 PM How do you figure that out? I tried a converter and it only came up with a bunch of screwy numbers. Dude128 01-14-2004, 07:46 PM I just found this site: http://www.buildeazy.com/converter.html I converted 150 centimeters to inches/feet, and it gave me 4.92 feet or 59.06 inches- which would be about 4 feet, 11 inches :) so according to that site if I'm about 5'9" (I think I'm 5'9" or 5'10"), I'm around 1.75 meters :P sjb 01-14-2004, 07:51 PM I think 1.5 m is about 4.11" yep thats about about right im a bit over 1.5m but i prefer saying 5ft cause i am and a lot of people i know go what? every time i say it in cm Ravie 01-14-2004, 07:54 PM I'm about 1.4 meters :stickout: I wouldn't use that stuff personally. Growth hormones are not something to take lightly. They have be very dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. Besides I hardly think that thing works anyways. Liz 01-14-2004, 07:59 PM I'm around 1.63 meters then :) Makar 01-14-2004, 11:44 PM Yeah, it did look kinda scary. I'm not sure how tall I am, but I know I haven't grown an inch since seventh grade so I can't be that tall. I often get batted around in the hallways at school because people can't see me. :buckt: westernrider 01-15-2004, 01:52 AM *twacks america* us and our screwy numbers! I wish we were metric... the world would be very much more simple and we would have to study how to convert to metric in science and math :P I am 5'8" which is pretty tall here in america... kittycat 01-15-2004, 02:09 AM i know what you mean about driving though, i'm glad i have a jeep..that was selling point, i could SEE the road. In cars like neons and taurus and stuff I can't see what I'm doing. I need a phone book! My [former] driving instructor made me sit on a pillow :P He would always say "we don't want any of this now! *mimics persons looking through spaces of steering wheel* He's the only one who thinks I'm too short though, dad or new instructor doesn't. 5'4"/163cm is not that short :P Tsuki Usagi 01-15-2004, 04:04 AM  I can drive, but I wouldn't drive a car, truck, or any other inclosed vehical. Which is why I have a motorcycle :p. lefty 01-15-2004, 04:26 AM My license says I'm 5'8", but I'm only 5'7". :P Arc Angel 01-15-2004, 02:14 PM Inches for the short? :P  I remember that. :P Liz 01-15-2004, 02:17 PM  I remember that. :P Hey, I thought it was a good idea  My dad always makes jokes that I'll never be able to drive because I'm short, which makes no sense because he's 2 inches taller than I am, and I have longer legs :P lilmsunpopular 01-15-2004, 02:43 PM I don't trust them, I think their trying to scam people, and even if they do work, it may not be safe. bellportal 01-15-2004, 04:25 PM I just saw an ad on this site for a growth supplement called Heightmax. It's for people ages 12 to 25. Does anyone know anything about it? I could grow a few more inches...it would sure help me out behind the wheel. :P I don't think that humans should mess with nature in this way. If you want to try this, though, check with your GP, FIRST. There may be effects that are not advertised. Neptune 01-15-2004, 05:54 PM My cousin's doctor asked him to consider something like that because he was so short. It had something to do with daily shots or weekly shots... I don't remember. Could'a even been monthly shots, I just know it had something to do with a lot of shots. MaGiCSuN 01-15-2004, 07:40 PM WOW! I always assumed you were way taller than me. you are so kind !! thanks for the compliment :D today i went swimming again, and we have 2 guys on it that 'teach' swimming. I was in conversation with one and he was like "how old are you anywayz? 19?" and i was like "ahw thanks !" haha while i'm only 17 :P Makar 01-16-2004, 05:23 AM today i went swimming again, and we have 2 guys on it that 'teach' swimming. I was in conversation with one and he was like "how old are you anywayz? 19?" and i was like "ahw thanks !" haha while i'm only 17 :P Heh, it's always great to receive those kind of compliments...at that age, anyway. As you get older you want people to think you look younger than you really are. :P MaGiCSuN 01-16-2004, 01:08 PM haha yeah :) when i will be like 22 i wish i would look like 18 again i think... :P lefty 01-16-2004, 04:25 PM haha yeah :) when i will be like 22 i wish i would look like 18 again i think... :P That's what happened to me. :P When I was a teenager I always looked older, but now people think I'm younger. I guess I'll be 18 for the rest of my life. Liz 01-16-2004, 04:45 PM I wish it would work like that for me. Everyone still thinks I'm 12 or 13. :confusion: Sheila 01-16-2004, 04:53 PM Peter and I went to a movie, and you had to be over 13 to see this particular film.....and the guy asked me for id. He didn't believe I was 26 (at the time). Karen_ 01-16-2004, 05:11 PM lol.. when you're 40, people will think you're 27.. That's not too bad, lol. Me and my friend went to see Finding Nemo, and my friend got in as a child. She never noticed until she looked at her ticket stub after the movie. She was mad because she's almost 2 years older than me, and I got in as a youth. She only had to pay like half of what i paid though lol. I think I pretty much look my age. I'm 16 and most people guess I'm 16 or 17. Neptune 01-16-2004, 05:21 PM It's crazy how so many people think that the taller you are the older you are. The whole short = young thing. People were still giving my sister child menus when she was 16. lefty 01-16-2004, 05:23 PM Peter and I went to a movie, and you had to be over 13 to see this particular film.....and the guy asked me for id. He didn't believe I was 26 (at the time). Good, I'm not the only one who does that! After 6:00 anyone under 12 years old is cheaper... these two people walked in and I asked how old the girl was to see if she qualified for the cheaper price. She said 28. It's crazy how so many people think that the taller you are the older you are. The whole short = young thing. People were still giving my sister child menus when she was 16. They refused to give me a child menu when I was 11! They didn't believe me. I think I'm mentally scarred. Ravie 01-16-2004, 05:24 PM They still give me the kiddie. :grouch: One of my friend's little brothers has to ask for one and he's 12 :lolol: Then the always look at him like he is crazy and go The Kid menus are for 13 and under or 12 and under. Sheila 01-16-2004, 05:25 PM lol.. when you're 40, people will think you're 27.. That's not too bad, lol. Me and my friend went to see Finding Nemo, and my friend got in as a child. She only had to pay like half of what i paid though lol. I think I pretty much look my age. I'm 16 and most people guess I'm 16 or 17. That reminds me of when I went to Pizza Hut (when I was 19) and I got half price, because they thought I was a child. I would rather look younger than my age, because I don't want to be one of those people who are in their 50's and they look like they are in their 80's. jessi15 01-16-2004, 06:17 PM I wish it would work like that for me. Everyone still thinks I'm 12 or 13. :confusion: Same here. I don't know why though because I don't look that young. I'm 15, its only three years, but sometimes it can be annoying. There is often a large difference in maturity. Arc Angel 01-16-2004, 06:26 PM I wish it would work like that for me. Everyone still thinks I'm 12 or 13. :confusion: Better than 8-10. *glares* :grouch: When people come up and ask me how old I am, then after I answer they say "Ohhh, I thought you were 8" I get a sudden urge to hurt something. Especially since that's like 6 years younger than I really am! Although what's worse is when they treat you like your younger! I shall stop my rant here, I could go on for quite some time on this subject.. heh MaGiCSuN 01-16-2004, 06:50 PM It's crazy how so many people think that the taller you are the older you are. The whole short = young thing. People were still giving my sister child menus when she was 16. that's why i am surprised that much people think i'm 19 years old, while i'm short :P sjb 01-16-2004, 07:55 PM It's crazy how so many people think that the taller you are the older you are. The whole short = young thing. I know how that's like i'm shorter than most of my friends that i'm older than, so if i'm ever at the movies, i always take forever proving im 14 while my friends who are still 13 and going into a 14A movie just walk right in... But once someone thought i was 18 i was amazed, i was at the airport, with my cousins we all went to this retreat in Minnesota and they asked me for ID while boarding a transfer-like type flight, where they only ask for ID when you're over 18. But only once, if only it happened more often :( Ravie 01-16-2004, 08:04 PM I have been pulled over several times when I was driving lol. Makar 01-16-2004, 08:14 PM People used to think I'm older than I really am on the Internet....Although I did send this guy an email not too long ago and I guess he thought I was like a professional webdesigner or something instead of a highschool student who hardly knows a thing about HTML. I suppose if you word things just right you can sound older and more mature. Well...yeah, of course you can. :P MaGiCSuN 01-16-2004, 08:15 PM the boyfriend of my friend is 22, and he went out once with his girlfriend (my friend). They asked for his ID, because he's short (i believe only 5 cm taller then me) and looks pretty young... he said "what you want, my driving license or my passport?" (in holland you need to be 18 to drive) LoL he could go inside after that... kittycat 01-16-2004, 08:55 PM It's crazy how so many people think that the taller you are the older you are. The whole short = young thing. People were still giving my sister child menus when she was 16. I get kids menus, I love it because of the activities and I rarely eat an adult sized meal anyway :P The only thing is I have two younger sisters; the middle one is as tall and bigger than me (3 yrs younger) and the youngest (6yrs younger) is almost as big as me but shorter *tries to grow*. Even some of my family that we don't see often thinks I'm younger than I am, but some people that I've talked to online think I'm older than I am. I wish I could just be my age :P Neptune 01-16-2004, 11:52 PM After a growth spurt I was stuggling with being thought of as older than I was. It made me really mad. I agree with Kittycat on the fact that I'd just like to be my age  Tsuki Usagi 01-17-2004, 12:47 AM Really love the Hello little boy is your mom or dad home :lolol: Wouldn't trust anything that didn't come from a doctor. Dude128 01-17-2004, 01:50 AM My license says I'm 5'8", but I'm only 5'7". :P wanna trade? I think my permit (I really need to work on that whole "license" thing, if only I had a car to practice with... :P) says I'm 5'7", but I know I'm at least 5'9" (that's what I was last time I had a physical), possibly 5'10" :P lilmsunpopular 01-17-2004, 04:44 PM I just turned 17, and this one girl and me were arguing. and she said "Well your only like a sohpmore" Then my other friend said "No she's like only a Junior." Lots of the time people think I'm a sohpmore instead of a junior, and I'm not short, I'm 5 foot 6 I'm questioning, why they think I'm younger. Well, at least that's only two year and one grade difference. westernrider 01-17-2004, 05:09 PM heh... when people think you are younger that will be good in the long run :D you will like being called younger than your age :lolol: people think I am older that I am... heh... guess that is life. Liz 01-17-2004, 05:15 PM When I'm older maybe. I don't really like getting kids menus or being called a little kid from someone whos younger than me :P Tsuki Usagi 01-17-2004, 06:45 PM I am bad when they tell me I can go into something at the kids' price. I don't tell them I'm 16 *whistles* My bro is the same way but he's 13  westernrider 01-17-2004, 06:58 PM haha... the coolest thing happened... back when I was in the 6th grade well it was spring break so we whent down to South Padre for the holidays... at the time I was 12 and my sister was 16... we had planed to go on a horse ride along the beach... so my dad when up and told the person in charge our ages... I am a whole lot taller than my sister... the lady asked us which one of us was 16... that p/o my sister so much... she was angry the rest of the trip... I guess it can be a advantage... hey... maybe I can get beer? lol... actually I hate beer... I tasted it once and I nearly threw up all over the resturant :P :slime: Neptune 01-17-2004, 10:43 PM Yeah  Being the taller than the older sibling does have it's advantages. Tsuki Usagi 01-18-2004, 11:29 PM  My little brother is shorter then I and my sister was taller then I am now so she would still be taller. Little bro has no advantage :hehe: |
