I have WS_FTP le, it used to automatically start in binary mode, but for some reason it now starts in ASCII, i can live with it, all i have to do is click it back...but its just annoying and i sometimes forget and end up having to reupload things...id much prefer it if it started in Binary, but i dont remember having changed anything and ive looked and looked but cant seem to work out how to change it back...does any one have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Go to options and then click on the tab that says "session (cont'd)" and that has an option "startup transfer mode"

Och, thank you! You know whats sad...ive been using ws for about 3 years and i never knew there was the options section there, id just never seen it even though it obvious...i thought the only way to change anything was through the session properties when you connect :lol:
