Man, don't you hate that? Or you can't quite remember what the URL was so you type something in and get something entirly different?
What I hated most was how I used to typo 'jounal' a lot and leave out the 'r', so when I tried to go to livejournal.com it directed me to a porn site. >_>

But I just remembered this had happened a few years ago. I think it may have been three or four; I wanted to get into HTML again, so I was thinking, "Hey, what was that really helpful site...Lisa Explains it All???" And I couldn't remember what the URL was so I typed in just that, 'lisaexplainsitall.com'.
And believe it or not it's an actual web site! I'm not exactly sure what it's about, but it looked like something to do with a college or insurance of some sort. Heh, I eventually found 'Lissa Explains it All' after a few searches, but it sure was funny coming to that site and thinking "Whoa! What happened?"

I'll have to go to that site again sometime.

yea it does suck, usually the only time i go to the wrong site is not knowing how to spell it though. In the past 2 years ive become a great typer and i either just look at the keyboard or just look at the monitor because monitor i have to know what im typing and make little mistakes, and looking at keyboard i know i type it right..so either way. Ive never gotten a horrible site when i DO make a typo but like i said it rarely happens for me...

I have done that a few times and it seems whenever I do I get some adult site. They usually have the everlasting pop-ups too.

I think there's a lisaexplains.com too lol. People buy domains around high traffic sites like gooogle.com etc., so that when you make a typo you go to their site. Sucks, doesn't it?

Heh, I'm always mispelling google when I type it in too fast and I get goggle. The whole site is like an advertisment for pop-up blockers or something. :confusion

They do, however, have a disclaimer at the top that says "This site is not associated with Google.com. If you intented to reach Google.com, click here." They must've had some complaints.

Oh my gosh! I was trying to go on Ebay Motors to look up something for my dad and I typed in "edaymotors.com". It directed me to "hanky-panky college" and there were all these popups and a link on the site said "do not click here unless you are 18! Adult content!"

I was also trying to go to metapets (second biggest pet site on the internet, next to Neopets) and I typed in Metapets.com instead of .net and it directed me to this business search site called Metapets. Weird.
