So what do you with your 60 seconds in between posts when you are just sitting there waiting for the minute to go by?

Heh, I'm usually doodling on a piece of paper in front of me (I have to change it once a week it gets so filled up) or browse the rest of the forums. Not that I spend too much time here, mind you. ^_^;;

I usually roam the rest of the forum in the mean time. :D

It doesn't happen very often to me... but usually I try adding something to my post for the next 30 seconds, then spend the remaining seconds erasing it :)

I just sit there and wait... or I open up another screen and browse the web... it is very annoying :buckt:

It doesn't usually happen to me, except in the summer because things are so fast paced. Usually I just read another thread *shrugs*

It hasn't happened to me in a while, but when it has before I just go back, wait for what I think is about 30 seconds but is probably only 5, and try again :P

60 seconds is too long!

Ravie
01-02-2004, 04:17 PM
:confusion 60 seconds is not that long at all. It would be different if it was like 5 minutes. :wolf:

pixiegrrl
01-02-2004, 04:18 PM
yes but if you want to post more often, you have to wait. 30 seconds would be enough waiting.

ack... 5 minutes? that would be terrible! oh... I would get soooo bored!... the 60 second thing doesn't last that long... the only time it bothers me is when I am in the chicken thread and we post a lot :P

I agree with Ravie, if you're posting like at least a sentence and between the time you go to another post to post something your sixty seconds should already be up. Quality not quantity people :stickout:

Sometimes posting more often isin't a good thing...no you don't have to wait, why not write longer posts. also it keeps the threads interesting when they have more insight.

I've never had to wait, I guess I don't post very fast

Neptune

I don't think it happens to me very often, because I'm normally editing the post I just posted. I edit my posts several times before actually being happy with them.

The times it does happen, I'll go and read something else or wait. How interesting of me.

westernrider
01-02-2004, 05:21 PM
ohhh yeah... deffinetly DO NOT post a whole lot... I mean you can post... but do not do it is every single forum posting again right after someone else posts... it makes a lot of people angry... I learned that the hard way :P

so if you do have to wait try to add more if it is possible. At least I try to do that... singing Turkey in the straw is a good idea also :D

If I think it's close to the sixty seconds I'll just hit back and submit until it works.

Otherwise I just hit ctrl+n to open a new window and surf some more whileI wait. :P

I do...uh....I usually have some IMs open, or I check ym e-mail yet again, or I open another browser and go on another forum for like 2 minutes.

I am really impatient, so I have to do SOMETHING while I'm waiting.

I browse the forum. :D By the time I've found a thread, thought up what to write, written and posted it, 60 seconds is up.

Here are the lyrics to help people. You can translate them to your native lanuage if thee wishes.

As I was a-gwine down the road,
With a tired team and a heavy load,
I crack'd my whip and the leader sprung,
I says day-day to the wagon tongue.
Turkey in the straw, turkey in the hay,
Roll 'em up and twist 'em up a high tuckahaw
And twist 'em up a tune called Turkey in the Straw.

Went out to milk, and I didn't know how,
I milked the goat instead of the cow.
A monkey sittin' on a pile of straw,
A-winkin' at his mother-in-law.
Turkey in the straw, turkey in the hay,
Roll 'em up and twist 'em up a high tuckahaw
And twist 'em up a tune called Turkey in the Straw.

Met Mr. Catfish comin' down stream.
Says Mr. Catfish, "What does you mean?"
Caught Mr. Catfish by the snout,
And turned Mr. Catfish wrong side out.
Turkey in the straw, turkey in the hay,
Roll 'em up and twist 'em up a high tuckahaw
And twist 'em up a tune called Turkey in the Straw.

Came to a river and I couldn't get across,
Paid five dollars for a blind old hoss;
Wouldn't go ahead, nor he wouldn't stand still,
So he went up and down like an old saw mill.
Turkey in the straw, turkey in the hay,
Roll 'em up and twist 'em up a high tuckahaw
And twist 'em up a tune called Turkey in the Straw.

As I came down the new cut road,
Met Mr. Bullfrog, met Miss Toad
And every time Miss Toad would sing,
Old Bullfrog cut a pigeon wing.
Turkey in the straw, turkey in the hay,
Roll 'em up and twist 'em up a high tuckahaw
And twist 'em up a tune called Turkey in the Straw.

Oh I jumped in the seat and I gave a little yell
The horses ran away, broke the wagon all to ^^^^
Sugar in the gourd and honey in the horn
I never been so happy since the day I was born.
Turkey in the straw, turkey in the hay,
Roll 'em up and twist 'em up a high tuckahaw
And twist 'em up a tune called Turkey in the Straw.
