Hi. I'm wondering, does anyone know how to put transparent backgrounds on images? so like for example if they have a white background and your background is say yellow, then the picture will have a yellow background. does anyone know how to do that??? is there a html code? a program? don't have adobe ( ) and if you could help me :cheer: that would be great! :) I'm really stuck becuase it looks horrible when you have this white background on your pictures.......thankies :)

Well some people use animation programs, there are some freeware alternatives but I prefer investing on a program like Animation Shop Pro (www.jasc.com).
http://webbie.suppi.net/stuff/unfreeze.zip
That is a freeware program called "unfreeze" and it animates too
http://www.webbie.fr.fm
That's the site that has tutorials with animating and making stuff in unfreeze.
You can put single images (non-animations) and then check "Transparency".
Also another program called GIFFY (search for it on google) that saves bitmaps as gif's and lets you have transparency and interlace

you don't really need animation programs but offcourse it depends on what you like, but there's no animation involved :)
SOME Paint versions used to save with transparent backgrounds, but i guess you should be very proud of if you have a version that does that. I would say download the trial from photoshop (www.adobe.com) or from PSP (adres see cherchez post) .. there's no other way really to get it.
Yeah you can use the chroma filter, but then the background should be one colour, andthat colour shouldn't be in the image itself, otherwise those parts will become transparent too. Chroma filter is also IE only, not that that bugs me but just so you know :) In the end, the most simple way is to use a graphic program.

Have I told you that? Sinse when do you use that programms, I personly love them. Sometimes the pics get a bit crewed up by Giffy, but6 it is sometimes less then that stupid animationshop does...
