Ok I must be doing something wrong. I'm doing a tutorial for avatars and there is a little transparent part to it, that's the part I've never been able to figure out, ever...

http://www.daydreamgraphics.com/tutorials/list.php?action=list&cat_id=1&id=70

So i get the freaky green color, go to export > gif

but it never ends up transparent, I think I must have something set wrong in the other things but I don't know what :(

I made 3 little squares that are icky green and they either wind up still green or black....

:confusion

did you select the choice area's that match this color on the transparentcy tab and set the color to your iky green color?

Do you have PSP 7 or 8? Not that it matters.

Try this:
Make sure the file is a .gif
Set the background color to your iky green.
Press Ctrl+Shift+V
Click set transparentcy to background color.
Click Ok.
Save the image.
Their should be a gray and white checker board print where the transparent part is. If not press Shift+V and you should then see the gray and white checkerboard.

When i do that and click on proof, it will show the transparent parts but when i click ok, the green is back.......

Just save it and open it in a web browser and I belive it will be transparent. I think PSP just shows you the green and then in saves the green becomes transparent.

now time to have fun :)
