can anyone recommend a good software to make awesome graphics that's free? I have 3 right now that I like but don't provide the stuff I want:
Adobe PhotoDeluxe 4.0 (came with my scanner)
Sans Serif PhotoPlus 5.5
Sans Serif DrawPlus 4.0

I like them all but, I don't know, I'm getting tired of them.

Most good graphics software, you have to pay for but, you can get trials that are free ovcourse but that might only be for about a month, im sure PaintShopPro have a trial, you could try their website

like anzrew said, you can download trials off the web, but a good graphic editor isn't free. But then again, everybody has it's own thoughts about what's 'good' and what's not.

www.jasc.com for paintshoppro
www.adobe.com for photoshop

then you also have corelDRAW but i'm not that font of that one, but you just have to try them out.

there's also The Gimp, wich is if i'm not mistaken free too.

here are some freeware graphic tools:

and maybe more here;

I just love Ulead Photo Expresse to put Text on pictures and much much more!!!
I had a look and found it as shareware, so free download! juhuuuuuu!
I don't think I have got the newest version, but I'll defenetly will download version4 next month. The thing is, it is quite big! So the download is about 20 minutes with dsl! So, if you have a modem you'll need about 2 hours! But it is worth that!
So, go http://www.shareware-base.de/article5482.html and click on download. I'm sorry, but it is in german, but I think you'll find your way!

Photo Express! I'm using that also, but temporarily. I have the first version. I don't enjoy it that much, just not a lot to do...

those are all nice but I'm looking for one that helps with hair. I hope you know what I mean. Like let's say a picture of a person with their sticking out and I want to add another background, I want a graphic that would help me with that. I hear of CorelDraw, but it takes forever to download. Anything good?

Hmm. Arcsoft Photo Studio 5. It's a good program. Not that costy. It's only $80 dollars on http://www.arcsoft.com/en/products/photostudio/ but i'm sure if you go to the right store you can buy a cheap argus digital camera for like 40 with the software in it. You can buy one of those in Wal-mart.

Hair, oh where did I see a tutorial for that.....

Oh! Try dowloading Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0....there is some tutorial on the site for giving body to hair, and taking it out, and still making it look natural with some kind of brush.

The gimp is probably the best. it's totally free and just as powerful as photoshop, the only downside is it's buggy and a kinda hard to use (because it's not made for windows, it's made for linux, which is why it's free.)]

Just about every tutorial for photoshop or paint shop pro out there can be adapted to the gimp once you learn how to work it, so i'd suggest heading over to http://gimp.org and downloading gimp for windows and playing with it for a while ^_^
