Hi,
My mum asked if I could make her a website and I agreed, so I'm designing it now....
But since she had no clue of any scripting, I wanted an area where only she and I can go, and post things on the "news" section. So Everybody can read it, but only she and I can post it....
Can someone help me please?
Thanx in advance!

(You can't put images in your signature.)
This is just an idea....
You could always sign up at www.blogger.com for an account. Where you post, look above and it says 'Team' and you can add her to the blog. Then when she gets the invite message she can sign up at blogger to. So whenever you want to post something you can just log into there.
I hope that made sense.

So what do you suggest?
Isn't there a script which can do something like that?

Where do you plan on hosting this site? I agree with Sheila, you should look into www.blogger.com (just bought out by Google.com, so any problems they're having as DannyCat suggests may soon be gone). Another possibility if you want to fully maintain the site yourself is to go to http://www.brinkster.com....They allow use of their server (IIS) and you could use your own (access) database to maintain permissions and store the News information.

I haven't got problems with them so far. I got some problems but they where caused by the hosting company where my host is hosted at. And yeah if you got any other ideas how to do it :) I dunno, those other blog things aren't that customizable or you have to know php etc.
blogger.com is the best way to learn how to blog and you don't have to know difficult php scripts etc.
I used to have an blog together with a friend and iused the "team" option too. It worked out just fine, it's really easy

sorry to dig up a old thread, but i only just found it.
news module for iis can be found here, (http://www.webwizguide.info/asp/sample_scripts/site_news_script.asp) i've been using it for a while, and it seems to work fine
