i was searching the board for stuff about free domains or whatever and i found someone saying something about dot.tk so i went there and they wont let me transfer my site to a dot.tk name because...

"It seems that the URL you provided does not exist or is by itself already a redirected URL, which cannot be redirected again by Dot TK. Please choose another URL."

...but i have NO idea what they are talking about my webbie is on a freewebs.com account so shouldn't it still let me be on dot.tk? and also it seems that freewebs isnt loading on my computer is it on yours?

Did you sign up, and then enter your web address like this? :

http://www.freewebs.com/fpguild

Because that's the only thing that I could think of as to why it wouldn't accept, if you didn't have the http:// in front of your web address.

For some reason, the dot.tk page won't load on my computer right now, so I'd say just go back and try again. :)

ok, i use dot.tk the thing is, you don't actually get a domain name from there. so if your address would be www.whatever.tk then there can't be a www.whatever.tk/something. this is becasue it redirects. that means that when you type www.whatever.tk into the address bar, you get ridirected to your current website, which is probably something like www.server.com/yoursite. it makes life easier just having to type in that, but it won't work if you already have a ridirected site. like if you type in www.server.com/yoursite and it brings you some place else. it gets confusing having a lot of redirection going on. i would look into it and see where your site actaully is
