Could someone explain to me what exactly direct linking is? I got some idea what it was then someone said something and I've got all confuzzled what it is...heh, pleeeasee answer this stupid question:)

Direct linking is when you link something from someone else's site to yours.

Like for an image, instead of having

<img src="imagename.jpg">

You have

<img src="http://www.whatever.com/imagename.jpg">


It's ok if it's your own site but not from someone else's because you use their bandwidth for that image instead of your own.
