I've been using geocities pagebuilder to make sites, but I want to get to a point where I don't need the pagebuilder anymore. I only use it to put my background picture and links where I want them to show up on the main page. I want to start using ONLY html to make sites, and not having to use the simple pagebuilder to arrange my stuff, etc.

How do you do this with just html? How do you put a picture exactly where you want it on your page, and where you want the links to show up on the picture? Is there a tutorial on this?

You can position the image where you want, if you just want it centered on the page you could just use center tags. It depends what exactly you are trying to do.

Lissa's page has all the basics of html and you don't need an editor, notepad works just fine.
